Frequently Asked Questions

On the registration procedure for a Race Across Italy Series event.

We recommend first consulting the information in the event section and carefully reading the rules.

What do you need to proceed with registration through the form?
Your personal information.

What is not required at the time of registration through the form?
Sport Federation card, Medical Certificate, Insurance (only for non-Italian participants). If these are not available, you can send them later after completing the registration through the form.

By when must I send the required documentation?
As soon as the valid documentation for the event period you registered for is available, and no later than April 6, 2025, you can send it via email, indicating in the subject line your name/surname/event.

How do I know if my registration was successful?
You will receive a confirmation email at the address you provided; also check your spam folder, as such messages may sometimes end up there due to mailbox rules.

By when must I complete the payment?
Payment must be completed within 5 days of registration via bank transfer using the details received by email.

Until when are the rates indicated in the form valid?
The rates are valid until January 12, 2025. From January 13, 2025, increased rates will apply.

Slots are limited or not?  Due to logistic issues slots are limited and registration for category will automatically close once the maximum number of participants is reached.

I don’t have a Medical Certificate yet. Can I register?
Yes, you can register, but by April 6, 2025, you must submit a valid competitive medical certificate, without which you will not be allowed to start. No exceptions.

I’m not a member of any cycling federation. Can I participate?
No. In Italy, participation in any cycling event, even non-competitive, requires membership in an EPS (e.g., FCI, ACSI, Csain, UISP) or the UCI, or a foreign federation recognized by the UCI.

What should I do if I’m not a member of an Italian or UCI-recognized cycling federation?
You need to join a cycling team affiliated with a federation. If you don’t have one, we can register you with our cycling team. Contact us to request registration, and we will send you the form to fill out and all the information on the documents required for membership.

I’m Italian. Do I need to be a UCI member?
All Italian cycling federations and EPS are valid. Triathlon federations are also valid in Italy.

I’m not Italian. How can I check if my team’s federation is recognized by the UCI?
You can ask your team to provide your UCI number; if the team belongs to a federation recognized by the UCI, your membership is valid. You can also visit the UCI website to check the recognized federations in each country.

What is WUCA membership for?
If you want to compete in the Unsupported European Championship, you must be a WUCA member, as it is a championship reserved for its members. If you don’t want to get an annual membership, you can opt for a single-event membership, valid for one race only.

If I’m a WUCA member but not part of an Italian or UCI-recognized cycling federation, can I participate?
No. WUCA (ultracycling.com/join-as-an-athlete/) is an association, not a federation, so WUCA membership alone is not sufficient. You need affiliation with a federation or the UCI to participate.

If I’m NOT a WUCA member but affiliated with a federation, can I participate in the RAI?
Yes, absolutely.
